Arun Nair is the founder and author of IndianEye.org. The blog was launched by Arun in 2007 to post articles on digital, e-commerce and technology trends reflecting his perspective and experience.
Arun is a thought leader and influencer in the e-commerce and digital marketing space with over 14 years of experience as a digital professional. He is credited with mentoring and launching several digital, e-commerce and web 2.0 initiatives, including a publisher affiliate network (CPA based), an un-conference (along the lines of TED) and a successful travel blog.
Arun runs his own digital consulting practice, a venture he started in 2012. He is the principal consultant and mentor for all assignments, drawing from his wealth of experience to guide brand and businesses on their digital and e-commerce strategy. In an earlier stint, he was Head – Digital Marketing & Strategy with Mahindra Holidays (part of the multi-billion $ Mahindra group), where he catapulted their digital presence from obscurity to becoming one of the best-managed brands in the digital domain. His consulting specializes in the travel, airline, hospitality and e-commerce vertical.
His passion and excellence hasn't gone unnoticed. He was the recipient of the Mahindra Best Practice award for his work on social media, selected by an eminent jury headed by Anand Mahindra. Recently, he was conferred the Top 20 Digital Marketers citation by the world brand congress (WBC) and the CMO council.
He is a regular speaker at digital marketing and social media conferences across the country. He is also passionate about teaching and conducts workshops, guest lectures on digital. Arun is also a published author, with articles appearing in the IIM-Ahmedabad quarterly (Vikalp), Social Samosa, Social Technology Quarterly (STQ), Times of India, India Business Law Journal, NASSCOM Emerge among others.
